Ideas: Traffic sign that represent you. China's flag represents my Chinese culture. Needle and thread to show my crafting hobbies. Drawing tablet represent my passion for digital art and drawing.
Processes: One color used; mint. Rounded and organic shapes were used to create the different items.

Side Profile
Size: 11 x 17 inches
Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Ideas: Silhouette my profile view with an animal inside to represent my inner self. My inner animal is a hedgehog and my hoodie is to represent the quills that a hedgehog uses to protect itself from danger. My hands are held together and reaching for the hedgehog to show my understanding of myself and I am closely connected to my inner self.
Processes: Took reference photos. Used black to create positive negative space which is shown with the cut out at the bottom with the grass and hedgehog.

Mandala
Size: 11 x 17 inches
Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Ideas: Used different shapes to create unique mandalas for different types of color harmony.
Processes: Unique radial balance patterns created by organic shapes. Different colors were used to create different color harmonies; complementary, split complementary, triadic, monochromatic, warm, cool, secondary, primary, and digital primary. Positive negative space was created through the different use of shapes.

Haiku

Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Ideas: Created a Haiku about COVID times and designed it based on a certain decade; 70s
Processes: Found posters from the 70s and used different colors and fonts from the poster and used them as inspiration. Typography; san-serif, serif, super bold serif

Typography Me

Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Ideas: Create a high-contrast photo of myself and use the mesh tool to transform the typography around my face. The words are negative and positive traits about myself mixed together.
Processes: Used black and white it show the dark side of myself that I wish to hide. Typography; bold serif.

Ideas: Combination with the first letter of my name and last name; S and H.
Processes: Used round lines and create a uniform and balanced symmetry. Color theory; pinkish purple.
